Caro in Paris

Hi again. Hope your week was full of things you enjoy.

Last Thursday I took a train and landed in Paris. So here’s a “Caro in” post.

It was my second time there and, having seen everything someone has to see in Paris, I decided that my trip would be different. What’s Paris all about? Fashion. And what am I passionate about? Fashion. What a coincidence! It was my time to focus on what I love for the first time in a really long period.

So Thursday 8:23 am felt like the perfect time to investigate every event, exposition, place and museum linked to fashion. A 80s exposition, Lanvin in Maison Carita, Fondation Azzedine Alaia and so much more. Of course I didn’t have time to do everything. But now I have an excuse to come back.

I arrived at 13:02 am and had to walk 30 minutes to reach my best friend’s office so I could leave my luggage there. Unfortunately, I don’t have the capacity to only choose the strict necessary clothes for a 4-day trip and end up carrying a super heavy pink case all over Paris.

Something in these streets is magical. To be in the exact same place taken by Victor Hugo, Zola, Maupassant, Monet and many other artists, as inspiration for their masterpieces is a strange feeling. As if I had slipped into a book and was suddenly living through the most famous main characters.

Let’s continue. The 80s exposition sounded like the best option for me at that moment. Advertisements, fashion, furniture and much more. An interesting yet instructive exposition. Here are some pictures I took.

Claude Montana, Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gautier, Kenzo, Issey Miyake, Élisabeth de Senneville, leather, plastics, wood, copper… Everything is in my camera, every detail is taken into account.

I will not lie, I had a hard time that day. My legs couldn’t walk at one point but, once we were home, we prepared a good dinner and slept. Well not slept, we caught up on EVERYTHING that had happened since the last time we’d been together.

That’s all for today, wish you the best.

Take care.

Caro
