My summer job: Shoes reporter
Hi again, I’m back.
Life has been busy these past months: exams, moving back to Barcelona, a girl’s trip to Italy, a wedding, Morocco, Andalucía and now Madrid. Mostly enjoying, also digesting everything that has happened this first, and a bit more, half of the year.
I could write ten posts about all my trips. But today I prefer to show you the shoes I spotted and why they could be a good option for travel.
Before you imagine me as a crazy woman taking pictures of pedestrians’ shoes, yes, I’m that woman. But in the streets you can find the best inspiration; well in people. The clothes they wear, the way they walk, talk, express themselves. And today, the shoes they own. So here are the terrible-quality pictures I’ve been recollecting this summer. I had to make sure not to be spotted and, most important, not look like a foot obsessed.
If you think about vacation the first thing that comes to mind is flip-flops. I always prefer to opt for the classical Havaianas.
These brown option is available for 20’99 €
Let’s end here with the flip-flops, it’s not really my thing. Am I the only one not able to walk in them without stumbling?
In vacay we walk, A LOT. We need comfy shoes, comfy yet stylish.
What are comfy shoes? For me, sneakers. I know it’s not the most original option, but Converse is always a good one.
These are mines :)) Don’t judge, they are destroyed.
Of course, it’s summer. Sandals. As with everything, I’m really picky. They have to be light, have a good grip on the feet and not look extremely like the sandals I used to have as a kid. I selected some options.
These are from Ash.
Other sandals fulfilling my requirements, well not really the one about not looking like kids sandals, I used to wear them to go to the pool, are these.
They are appearing massively this summer. They are from Shop-Pêche.
Don’t forget moccasins. One of the most versatile shoes.
For me, moccasins are ALWAYS a good option. You want to go eat your breakfast in a cute but relaxed café? Moccasins. You want to visit museums all day? Moccasins. Maybe you have a lunch or a casual dinner. See? Moccasins are the answer to everything. And ballerinas.
They had to be here, I just love them. Btw, I’m currently doing a little DIY on simple black ballerinas, I could do a post with the process.
Another staple for me is boots. Boots for winter, spring, autumn and also summer. Of course, don’t choose boots on a 40ºC sunny day. But they’re still a good option.
I spotted these rocky boots, love the contrast between a girly outfit and a pair of punk boots.
Ok, let’s say you have a dinner, and you want to change from the “all day walking” outfit to a “feeling yourself” outfit. The easy way is to choose a pair of heels, even easier if they are comfortable.
Here are the ones I spotted in Napoli and I really like them. The height is perfect, but the front part is…
Here is one more option I found.
These are also from Shop-Pêche. I have a little crush on them.
And here ends my shoes’ rapport. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Take care of your feet,
Caro.
